Hi,

I read and speak Deutsch, but writing is another matter. I'm a monk and a veteran of Hastings 2000 and 2002 so I look forward to TNBO.

Hi Henk!

It´s good to have a clergyman in our lines! Think our monk from the last big one won´t come this year.

Welcome father! (What´s the correct title? father, frather, dutchman?)

cheers

Hi Henry,

Was that the Cistercian wjo had a tonsure shaved on the friday night? Pity, he was fun, although his habit was about 200 years out of place.

Just brother/bruder Heinric. And thanks for the welcome to Gawan as well. My persona has not been ordained as a priest as I have only been ordained into the lower grades of monkhood. I play a brother doorkeeper of the abbey of St Baefs at Gent (Flanders) who's on a personal mission of my abbot to duke William.

While I'm not in my black habit everybody may call me

Yes, I meant Christian! He is a teacher now. I met him some month ago and suggested him to come with all his children. We will see. As a teacher he has a lot but fixed holydays. Hastings is good for kids and for all school-subjects, i.e.: history, crafts, english, sports, physics and so on
And yes, he was funny!

Hi there...

I was at Hastings '2000 with the Norman Cavalry.
I was a member of the NCV, the Napoleonic Cavalry Association  a Dutch group imposing the 14th Rgt Dutch curassier and 2nd Rgt. Dutch Belgian carbineer.

We were asked to take part as Norman Cavalry to make a mass of 110 riders.

I enjoyed the battle so much that I like to go again- but this time no more money enough to for renting a horse.

I have a small commercial armoury that just got started last year.
Just click at my URL to get an impression of my work.

I do mostly 15th Century re-enactment and swordfight demo's.

I'm trying to get my kit together in time for the Battle.
If I succeed, I will join you all with Byfrost and beat the hell out of Harold and his gang!

I can read and understand German, speak it a bit but writing, well that's something else.

Hi Duco,

We must have met before on several occasions, but for the moment I don't recall your face. No matter, we'll meet again on the battlefield or in the LHE or, who knows, in a pub. I'm the one in the long black dress...

Groet,

Henk

Very recent new portrait. The former one was a bit vague (no digital camera then...) and develloped a nose-bleed. I don't know why...

I'll be more recognizable now.
